Know thy enemy: Cancer
In order to get into cancer investing, you need to first get past the jargon. There are all kinds of terms that are difficult to understand. Sometimes these even seem to conflict with other terms.
As such, I want to help you understand better. I am building a glossary of terms that will explain key concepts in cancer research. And these terms show up all over the place in press releases and clinical reports. Many of us are not specifically trained to read and interpret these kinds of texts. So sometimes it can feel impenetrable.
As such, you might be confused. So I want to know what it is that confuses you! Here is a list of the preliminary words and phrases that I will define and explain in the glossary. Please let me know in the comments section below what else would help you!
Concepts included so far in this cancer investing glossary
- Overall survival
- Progression-free survival
- Time-to-event analysis
- Overall (or objective) response rate
- Targeted therapy
Is there a term you’d like explained? Leave it in the comments!
